Responsibilities: 

As a Design Engineer, you’ll contribute to the success of ARMI Manufacturing by: 

  • Designing and optimizing equipment, including water treatment systems, mechanical separation units, and filtration devices. 
  • Developing and maintaining 2D layout drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks. 
  • Ensuring designs meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and manufacturing feasibility. 
  • Conducting stress analysis and prototyping system development for new product designs. 
  • Collaborating with manufacturing teams to create cost-effective, production-ready designs. 
  • Utilizing Enterprise PDM for file management and COUNTERPART ERP software for part and assembly orders. 
  • Supporting other design engineers across different accounts as needed. 
  • Gaining hands-on experience with testing and inspection processes, including white water testing, motor testing, and Factory Acceptance Testing (F.A.T.). 
  • Leading discussions, presenting information, and participating in design reviews with customers. 
  • Assisting the Account Manager with estimations and quoting to support project planning and budgeting. 
  • Engaging in shop floor projects to develop a strong understanding of engineering processes. 
  • Identifying and implementing efficiency and profitability improvements in engineering operations. 

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred. 
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar design software. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and refine complex designs. 
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with customers and internal teams. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines. 
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory compliance in water treatment and manufacturing. 
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems is a plus.
